Owned and operated by Maureen Johnson, MoJo's Indexing Service is dedicated to creating high quality indexes on time and on budget, since 2006.

Qualifications

In addition to completing indexing course work from the USDA Graduate School, Maureen has a MS in Scientific and Technical Communication and years of experience as a freelance technical writer.  She is able to analyze the audience(s) for a publication with a focus on using index headings and cross references that will meet their information needs.

Maureen also holds a BS in Microbiology and has a firm grasp on the technical terminology in the biological and health sciences.  She has worked in a variety of laboratory settings and understands how to bridge the gap between lay and professional audiences.

Maureen is a member of the American Society for Indexing (ASI) and the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
